AXA Research Fund - POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS
The 2014 Call for post-doc fellowships funded by Research Fund it is now open.
Young high qualified researchers are invited to submit their candidature to Sapienza. Applications must be submitted by the research institution to which the candidate’s host laboratory belongs, and where the post-doctoral work is to be carried out. No individual applications will be considered Research projects supported by the Fund can fall within the scope a very large range of disciplines, which include the following . Life risks, Socio-economic risks, Environmental risks. Awarded projects can last for 1 to 2 years and funding amounts to 250 K€.
Candidates must apply to Sapienza University as first step. Therefore, the university will select only one project and will send it to AXA. Candidates must send the following documents to the contact person: Benedetta Cassani. Deadline 7th December 2013.
Applications will be evaluated by a technical Commission indicated by the Rector of Sapienza, according to the criteria mentioned above. The preselected candidate will be consequently contacted by AXA to submit the application following the procedures specified in the guidelines. Deadline 9th January 2014, 12.00 (Rome time).
L'Oréal-Unesco Awards for women in Life Sciences 2014
Within the framework of the For women in Science partnership between the L’Oréal Foundation and UNESCO, the 2014 call for nominations for outstanding women scientists has been launched. Five 15,000 € prizes (before taxes) will be awarded in May 2014 to five women scientists, for the contributions of their research, the strength of their commitments and their impact on society. This year the new Platform “For women in Science” accessible on www.fwis.fr has been launched. The platform is user friendly and it is the only tool for the submission of the candidates’ applications and later for the selection process. The deadline for submitting nominations is 13 January 2014. This will enable Member States to review the candidatures received through this platform, and therefore submit the selected candidate. The applications will be evaluated by a National Committee presided by Prof. Umberto Veronesi.
