UNDERSTANDING RELIGIOUS RADICALISM IN SOUTHERN ASIA

On Thursday and Friday, April 19-20, Sapienza University will host the International Conference on “Understanding Religious Radicalism. Discourses, Identities and Representations within and across South Asian Borders.”

Some of the foremost scholars of religions and society in Southern Asia will meet to analyse and discuss religious radicalism, even in relation to the significant presence of communities from southern Asia in Italy.

The final session will include a round table in which scholars, social activists and representatives from a number of countries and cultures in Southern Asia will discuss integration, radicalism and intercultural dialogue on the basis of their personal experiences and their video documentation work carried out in the various communities in Italy and abroad.

Students participating in the conference can earn 2 CFUs for their traineeship activities.
