Sapienza Team - Race for the Cure 2017

Friday, May 19 to Sunday, May 21
Circo Massimo, Rome

Sapienza University is proud to participate with a team in the 18th edition of the Race for the Cure.

The Race for the Cure, which will be held at the Rome Circo Massimo from Friday, May 19 to Sunday, May 21, is a sports and wellness event with a 5 km race and a 2 km walk to increase public awareness on the importance of prevention, raise funds for new projects to fight breast cancer and express solidarity to women who have experienced the disease.

The initiative is promoted by Susan G. Komen Italia, an international non-profit organization based on volunteering, which has promoted the prevention of breast cancer since 2000.

Through “Race for the Cure,” since 2000, Komen Italy has collected and distributed over 3 million euro, supporting over 420 projects and associations addressing breast cancer. These include courses for healthcare professionals, health education programmes for healthy women and students, clinical services for psycho-physical recovery and the well-being of women and the purchase of breast cancer diagnosis and treatment equipment.

Participate in a team means multiplying solidarity: join the Sapienza team, run in pink for women and their health!
