Sapienza Partners with Grammy Museum

On Monday, June 19, the Sapienza Congress Centre will host a ceremony for the affiliation of Sapienza University to the Grammy Museum, a non-profit organization founded in Los Angeles, in 2008, as part of the Grammy Awards.

Grammy Museum Executive Director Robert Santelli will hold a lecture on "The Globalization of American Music in the Twentieth Century."

The “Music Making History” Research Unit of Sapienza, founded and directed by Professor Marilisa Merolla, was selected by the Grammy Museum as the first European partner to promote and enhance the study of Contemporary History through international audio archives.

Speakers at the ceremony also include: Sapienza Rector Rector Eugenio Gaudio, Raffaella Messinetti, Dean of the Political Science, Sociology and Communications Faculty and Professors Franco Piperno and Luciano Zani.

Professor Marilisa Merolla will open the event.
