A Performance of Works by Johann Sebastian Bach

On Saturday, November 4, Sapienza will host a performance of Johann Sebastian Bach with Isabelle Faust and Kristian Bezuidenhout.

The programme features six pieces by Bach. The two musicians will perform the Sonata in G Major for violin and harpsichord BWV 1021, and three Sonatas for violin and harpsichord (BWV 1015, 1016 and 1017). The violinist will also perform the Sonata n. 2 in A Minor for violin BWV 1003 solo, while Bezuidenhout will play la Toccata in D minor for harpsichord BWV 913.

Isabelle Faust is an internationally renowned violinist, acclaimed by the New York Times and who has played with the most important orchestras in the world, including the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the NHK Symphony Orchestra in Tokyo.

Kristian Bezuidenhout, a specialist in historical keyboards such as the harpsichord and fortepiano, is gaining unanimous and increasing international recognition both for his concert and recording activities.
