On Thursday, August 31, and Friday, September 1, the Olympic Museum in Lausanne (Switzerland) will host the third edition of the International Meeting on Bone Marrow Adiposity.

Adipose bone marrow tissue plays a fundamental role in the metabolic homeostasis and pathogenesis of many skeletal diseases.

This annual event brings together scientists and clinical experts on adipose bone marrow tissue physiopathology to promote the exchange of data and new technology in this emerging field of medicine.

The third edition of the International Meeting on Bone Marrow Adiposity, coordinated by Mara Riminucci, Alessandro Corsi and Biagio Palmisano, has been organised under the aegis of Sapienza University and the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne.

The conference will be dedicated to internationally renowned Sapienza Prof. Paolo Bianco, an expert in bone marrow physiopathology, who passed away in 2015.
