On Saturday and Sunday, April 8-9, the Sapienza Botanical Gardens will welcome visitors for Hanami, the blossoming of the Japanese garden.
As per the ancient tradition dating back to the Heian period, the branches of Japanese cherry trees are decorated with strips bearing haiku poems.
There will be guided tours for visitors, a tea ceremony and the manufacturing of traditional Washi paper.
On Saturday, April 8, the Botanical Gardens will also host the presentation of "Hanafuda, the Flowers of the Game" by Lorenzo Casadei and Silvana Mattei.
Children can participate in an origami workshop held at the exhibition garden.
Booking is not necessary.
