For the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation, Sapienza will host a seminar dedicated to "Economics and Society. A Map of the Reformation's Effects" on October 31 at the University Congress Center as part of the "Dialogues on the Reform" series.

The event, organized by CRUL - the Regional Coordination Committee of Lazio's Universities, is part of the "Dialogues on the Reform" series (second edition). The success of last year’s seminar, focusing on sustainability, encouraged the universities to pursue the goal of a greater unity of cultural issues and intents, especially to pursue its Third Mission, by expanding the network of organizing Universities.

The seminar was designed by Sapienza in collaboration with Foro Italico University, UNINT and Luiss, and has the patronage of the Sapienza Foundation.

Participants include Sapienza Rector Eugenio Gaudio, the Rector of the Foro Italico University, Prof. Fabio Pigozzi, former CRUL President, Prof. Mario Panizza, and Rai reporter Fabrizio Noli. The event will be closed by Professor Antonello Biagini, President of the Sapienza Foundation and Professor Mario Morcellini, Councillor for Communication at Sapienza. The lectio brevis will be held by Professor Gaetano Lettieri.

The seminar will address the effects of the Reformation on lifestyles, nutrition and well-being, reflections on the trading of indulgences and the spirit of capitalism, but also the cultural dimension of the.

The participation of scholars and professors will enrich the debate on socio-political changes and the perception of the concept of Europe today, symbolically perceived as the one in which, five centuries ago, Martin Luther nailed his famous theses to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenberg.
