A Call for Young Directors and Screenplay Writers

The second edition of the “We Are the Future – Somos el Futuro” Call for young talent in movies and audio-visuals will be held at Sapienza University on April 27.

“We Are the Future – Somos el Futuro” Call is an Italian-Spanish project that addresses directors and screenplay writers who are either Italian or Spanish, or resident in one of the two countries, and aged 18-25. The project is promoted by the Miff-Mallorca International Film & Media Festival and the Abilis Association and funded by the Cinema Directorate General at the Italian Ministry of Cultural Heritage (MIBACT), The Roma Lazio Film Commission and the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports and the Spanish Embassy in Italy.

Sapienza Rector Eugenio Gaudio, Italian Minster of Cultural Heritage Dario Franceschini, the Italian Ambassador to Italy, Jesus Gracia Aldàz, and Gabriella Carlucci, who conceived and promoted the call, will be present at the presentation, along with Nicola Borrelli, MIBACT Director General for Cinema; Luciano Sovena, President of the Roma Lazio Film Commission and Andrea Minuz, Sapienza Cinema Professor.
