On Saturday, March 3, Sapienza University will host a concert performance by the Borodin Quartet, which returns to Rome after a long absence.

The Borodin Quartet, which was founded in 1945, celebrated seventy years of activity in 2015. Over the course of its long activity, the members of the quartet have changed, but the two main principles that characterise it, have remained unaltered. All of its members come from the Moscow Conservatory and pursue a relentless quest for quality, both in terms of interpretation and technique.

The quartet will perform their first Quartetto, as well as Tchaikovsky’s first Quartetto and a masterpiece by Schubert, the uncompleted Quartetto in C minor, D. 703.
