Aula Magna – Rectorate Building CU001
Piazzale Aldo Moro 5, Rome

The MuSa “Music at Sapienza” Organisation is ready to celebrate the Italian carnival at Sapienza University on Saturday, February 25.

The MuSa Classical Orchestra will perform “Ma Mére l’oye,” a suite composed by French composer Maurice Ravel. The EthnoMuSa Orchestra will play carnival music and traditional Italian and international songs. The MuSa Choir will present a Renaissance Carnival with a selection of polyphonic compositions from that era. The MuSa Jazz Big Band will perform music from famous cartoons. The concert will be concluded by MuSa Blues, paying tribute to the Early 1900s Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival, including “machinhas” and “marcette”.

The event is sponsored by the Brazilian Embassy in Rome. All children are invited to attend dressed up in their costumes; however, please note that confetti are not allowed in the Aula Magna.

Free entrance and parking is available on campus.
