EUPOLIS

PROJECT EUPOLIS: TRANSNATIONAL POLITICAL PARTICIPATION, REPRESENTATION AND SOVEREIGNTY IN THE EUROPEAN PROJECT

Duration: September 2014 - February 2016

Scientific Manager: Paola Marsocci, Associate Professor of Constitutional Law at the Sapienza Department of Communication and Social Research. Other professors: Maria Romana Allegri and Linda Manzone

Project EUPOLIS addresses the organisation of political public debates on European Union issues.

Project meetings will be held in Rome, mainly at the Coris Department, between November 2014 and November 2015. This includes two main international meetings (one at the beginning and one at the end of the project) and three seminars in between. A volume will be published on the proceedings in February 2015.

EUPOLIS will involve mass media, beginning with the Sapienza web radio and website, to divulge activity results. Besides contributing to scientific research on the growing concern of European integration, the project also aims to divulge this knowledge to a larger audience and increase civil and political awareness both on the individual and group level.

Partners: Italian Association of European Jurists (AIGE), Association for Research and Studies of Political Representation in Elective Assemblies (ARSAE); Centre for State Reform and Geopolitical Observatory (CRS); Basso Foundation; Italian Council European Movement (CIME); Order of Lawyers Rome; Radio Sapienza.
