The Software Distribution Service for Research and Teaching (DSRD) aims to reduce costs and simplify the procedures to acquire educational software by facilitating and coordinating agreements between Sapienza and software manufacturers and suppliers. The university also extends the benefits of these agreements to students.
Sapienza University also provides all enrolled students, professors, researchers and staff with a free version of Microsoft Office 365. This package includes the most recent versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and many other applications.
Each user can install Microsoft Office on a maximum of 5 computers, 5 tablets (including iPads) and 5 smartphones. Moreover, the package allows users to use OneDrive to automatically synchronise applications across all devices.
