Radio Sapienza is the official web radio of Sapienza University.
The web radio, which began streaming in July 2007, was started by a group of students and graduates from the first Masters Programme in Radio Language, Production and Marketing held at the Sapienza Faculty of Communication and in collaboration with RadioRai.
The aim of Radio Sapienza is not only to provide news, university information and entertainment, but also to serve as an innovative laboratory in which Sapienza students are free to experiment with new languages, forms of communication and web-based formats.
Students may apply to work at the radio and learn more about web radio production and hosting, as well as editing and communication strategies. Moreover, students may also participate in the “Call for Ideas” and propose new programmes and projects for the annual palimpsests.
Programmes are webcast from the RadioLab - Experimental Radio and Audio Production centre of the Department of Communication and Social Research at Via Salaria 113.
Radio Sapienza is directed by Prof. Mario Morcellini, Director of the Sapienza Department of Communication and Social REsearch (CORIS) and Deputy Rector for Communication.
