Open: Monday to Friday - 8.30 am to 6.00 pm
The new Sapienza Shop, which opened on December 14, 2016, is located on campus and will sell all Sapienza merchandising products. All the money made by this commercial initiative, which began in 2008 as a small “corner” by the Bursar’s Office and was relaunched at the beginning of 2015, will be used to fund institutional activities and innovative initiatives for students.
The new 35-square-meter shop, which is packed with clothes, stationary, temptations and curiosities, is located at the Via Regina Elena entrance and will be open every day from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm. The Sapienza Store aims to be environmentally sustainable and sells products made with recycled materials, including the very popular original handbags made prison inmates and the “Perpetua” eco-pencil of the future, made of 80% recycled graphite.
Design is also On-line
All new merchandising, from stationery to mugs and from sweatshirts to t-shirts for men, women and babies, can also be found on-line. (see link on right)
Students at the Centre
The idea, the organization and the launch of the new Store is an authentic lab also for students, who participate in its day to day operations, marketing strategy and even as testimonials for the images used in the catalogues. Students are at the centre of this initiative as the money made through the sales will contribute to activities and initiatives in favour of the students.
