Participate in the Sapienza Short Film Fest


The second edition of the Sapienza Short Film Fest, promoted by the Department of Art History and Performing Arts, provides students with the opportunity to showcase their creativity through a video or short movie.


Fiction – short movies, web series, mockumentary and animations lasting no longer than 10 minutes

Remix – video essay, re-cut trailer, sweeded trailer and mash-ups lasting no longer than 5 minutes

The competition is open to all students currently enrolled at public or private educational institutions (universities, academies, professional schools).

All material submitted will be preselected by the Film Fest’s scientific committee by November 15. Subsequently, a jury composed by film directors, screenplay writers, producers, movie critics, TV and web personalities and university professors, including the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, will select a winner for each category.

Winners in both categories will receive a €1000 award, while the winners of the public vote will receive a plaque.

Participants in the first edition developed partnerships with Dominio Pubblico, Festival Nazionale Roma FilmCorto, Eterna #2770 and Columbia College, as well as the opportunity to share the winning films on Repubblica TV.
