Museum Saturdays at Sapienza

Saturday, May 6/13/20/27  10.00 am - 8.00 pm
University Campus
Piazzale Aldo Moro 5, Rome
The second edition of the Sapienza "Saturdays at the Museum" begins on Saturday May 6 with a series of initiatives, games, conferences, exhibitions, concerts and theatrical performances open to all citizens.

Following the success of the first edition in 2016, Sapienza museums will open their doors every Saturday during the month of May. This year, “Saturdays at the Museum” will focus on the four ancestral elements of nature: fire, water, air and earth. The university campus will become an open space for people of all ages to learn, experiment and play with culture.

On Saturday, May 20, museums will be open and performances will continue until midnight.

For families with young children, there will be various educational workshops: from family treasure hunts to archaeology museums to a lab for young restorers of prehistoric vessels. Everyone will be able to recompose the painted walls of the most beautiful Etruscan tombs, play with prehistoric footprints, and observe microscopic microworlds that date back to the time of the Pharaoh in Egypt or further back to the dinosaurs.

Tickets: €3, free for Sapienza students and children under 12.
