On Friday, November 10, the Central National Library of Rome, will host a conference dedicated to "The Hemingway Myth in Italy: A Farewell to Arms and its Impact on Italian Culture" organized in collaboration with the Sapienza University Department of Greek-Latin, Italian, Musical and Performing Arts Studies.

The conference, which has been organised to celebrate the masterpiece of American writer Ernest Hemingway, will reconstruct Hemingway’s troubled editorial story as a moment of critical reflection on the relationship between American and Italian culture since World War Two, as well as analyse the war and its consequences on memory and national identities.
