CALL on the EU to strengthen SSH Research

Sapienza University is part of a group of universities, referred to as “leading in Social Sciences and Humanities” (SSH) by the EU, that wish to raise greater awareness about the fact that European institutions are strongly interested in increasing research in these fields and promoting their integration in the European Union’s next Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP9), one of the EU’s main funding tools for research.

The aim is to help the European Commission define the actions necessary to implement this vision through a series of recommendations indicated by the participating universities in a joint SSH position paper (see link on right). Professor Marino Bonaiuto, Department of Psychology of Development and Socialisation Processes, is coordinating this initiative for Sapienza University.

In order to obtain the greatest impact possible, organisations and individuals may also promote the initiative by compiling the on-line module by February 28, 2018, so that it may be transmitted to representatives of the European institutions before the consultation on FP9 closes.
